
Agartala, Tripura, 23rd of August, 2026 : Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha will lay the foundation stone of a 100-seat medical college in Ambassa, Tripura on 24th August, 2026. The college will be established by Bandhan Group.
At a press conference on Saturday, a representative of the group’s Corporate Communications Department said that the medical college is expected to become fully operational from the 2027–28 academic session. He said that the Chief Minister will lay the foundation stone of the proposed H.P. Ghosh Memorial Medical College in Ambassa on Monday.
The college will be constructed at a site adjacent to Dhalai District Hospital in Kulai. The group also has plans to establish paramedical and nursing colleges in the future. Dhalai Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Swapna Das Pal, MLA Chittaranjan Debbarma, and Ambassa Municipal Council Chairperson Pratima Malakar will be present at the foundation stone-laying ceremony.
