Amarpur, Tripura, 4th of September, 2026 : The Tipra Academicians’ Forum (TAF) successfully organized a comprehensive awareness programme over Legal Rights and Menstrual Health & Hygiene today in Women’s College, Agartala, West Tripura. The initiative aimed to educate young women on their legal protections while promoting crucial reproductive health practices.
The programme was inaugurated in the presence of Smt. Sanchita Reang, Principal (i/c) of Women’s College, Agartala. A large number of hostellers from the college actively participated in the interactive sessions throughout the day.
The session featured two distinguished resource persons: Dr. Amulya Debbarma, Assistant Professor, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, AGMC, Agartala, who addressed menstrual health, personal hygiene, breaking social taboos, and managing gynaecological wellness. Advocate Smt. Hoba Debbarma, General Secretary of the Young Tripuri Association, who delivered an insightful talk on legal rights, safeguard mechanisms, and gender justice awareness for young women.
