New Delhi, Delhi, 8th of September, 2026 : Fifteen startups developing technologies across sensors, flow control, spectroscopy, optics and photonics, quantum technology, deposition technology, lab-grown diamonds for semiconductor applications and automation showcased their innovations at the inaugural HORIBA Innovation Connect in New Delhi. Selected from close to 100 registrations received from across India, the startups presented their technologies to an expert jury and engaged with HORIBA’s technical and leadership teams on their potential for further development and application.
Hosted by HORIBA India at Hotel Holiday Inn, Aerocity, the initiative is part of the company’s continued efforts to engage with emerging technology companies and strengthen its external innovation pipeline. Held under the theme “Discover new technologies. Measure their potential. Innovate for the future,” Innovation Connect provided a structured platform for HORIBA to identify technologies aligned with evolving areas of measurement, analysis and industrial technology, while enabling participating startups to access technical expertise and explore potential pathways for collaboration.
The participating startups were evaluated on technical readiness, novelty and differentiation, pitch quality, commercialisation potential and strategic fit with HORIBA’s areas of expertise. The jury comprised Dr. Sandeep Singh, Professor, IIT Roorkee; Dr. Anil Handoo, Senior Director & Head, Laboratory Services, Max Healthcare; Dr. R.K. Malhotra, President, HORIBA, Ltd.; Dr. Ashwini Aggarwal, President, Hydrogen Association of India; and Dr. Masayuki Adachi, Board Member and President, HORIBA, Ltd., Japan;.
The Platinum Prize was awarded to CLUIX Private Limited with a prize of INR 2 lakh, while the Gold Prize was jointly awarded to NeosLab and Matterwave Technologies Pvt. Ltd., with each winner receiving INR 1 lakh. The awards recognised the innovation, potential and strategic relevance of their respective technologies.
Beyond the awards, Innovation Connect was structured to create continued engagement between HORIBA and participating startups. Select ventures will receive ongoing technical guidance from HORIBA experts and opportunities to explore R&D and co-development initiatives. Based on technology, commercial potential and strategic alignment, HORIBA India will also evaluate potential pathways including investment, licensing and acquisition.

The engagement with participating startups will extend beyond the event, with select ventures receiving ongoing technical guidance and opportunities for R&D and co-development, while HORIBA India evaluates potential strategic pathways including investment, licensing and acquisition based on technology and business potential. As part of HORIBA India’s broader effort to strengthen its external innovation pipeline and deepen engagement with India’s startup ecosystem, Innovation Connect reflects the company’s 20-year journey in the country and its evolving role as a technology partner. By connecting HORIBA’s measurement and analysis expertise with emerging technologies, the initiative aims to help promising innovations progress from development to real world industrial and commercial applications.
