Sepahijala, Tripura, 9th of September, 2026 : The Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Sepahijala, CAU(I), Tripura virtually participated in the inaugural programme of the National Conference on “Natural Farming: Pathways to Self-Reliant Farming and Rural Prosperity” (NCNF-2026), held at College of Post Graduate Studies in Agricultural Sciences (CPGS-AS), Umiam, Meghalaya on 9th September, 2026.
The three-day National Conference (9-11 September, 2026) is organized by Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal, Manipur at CPGS-AS, CAU(I), Umiam, Meghalaya was inaugurated by Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya Ji, Hon’ble Governor of Assam in the presence of Dr. Anupam Mishra, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, CAU, Imphal, Dr. C.K. Timbadia, VC, GNFSU, Gujarat, Dr. P.S. Pandey, VC, RPCAU, Pusa, Bihar, Dr. A.K. Singh, VC, RLBCAU, Jhansi, Shri Dinesh Kulkarni Ji, All India Organizing Secretary, Bhartiya Kisan Sangh, Shri Bhagya Vadla Ji, All India Executive Member, RSS, Dr. Joram Aniya, Member, NITI Aayog, Shri Narayan Singh Kushwah, Minister of Social Justice and Horticulture, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh, and Prof. Dwipendra Thakuria, CAU-CPGSAS, Umiam.

The conference focused on the importance of natural farming in promoting sustainable agriculture, self-reliance, soil health and rural prosperity. KVK officials and staff attended the inaugural session virtually and benefited from the deliberations on sustainable and farmer-friendly agricultural practices.
