Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury Emphasizes Participation From All Sections Of Society In Developmental Activities.

Agartala, Tripura, 18th of September, 2026 : As part of ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ to mark the celebration of 25 years of public service by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as well as his birthday, Unakoti district level ‘Ashirvad ka Diya’ programme was organized in Kailashahar on Thursday (17th September, 2026). Hon’ble Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury inaugurated this ‘Ashirvad ka Diya’ programme held near Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Setu in Chandipur Block. All the guests took part in lighting diyas (lamp).

Addressing at the event the Tourism Minister said to celebrate the 25 years of public service by PM Narendra Modi various welfare and service-centric activities have been initiated across the state and the country. Keeping the ‘Seva, Sushason and Antyoday’ thought in view emphasis has been given on delivering various government benefits to the common people, the minister added. He highlighted works being done under PMAY, Ujjwala Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, PM-Kishan Samman Nidhi, free distribution of food grains and so on. He also emphasized participation from all sections of society in developmental activities, so that ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Biswas, Sabka Prayas’ thought can be embodied through collective efforts.

Unakoti Zila Parishad member Bimal Kar presided over the programme while welcome address was delivered by DM of Unakoti district Megha Jain. Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Sabhadhipati of Unakoti Zila Parishad Amalendu Das, SP-Unakoti Rishab. As part of the initiative a voluntary blood donation camp was held at Unakoti Kalakshetra.
