We Must Be Free From Self-Centered Thinking Move Forward Together: Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath.

Agartala, Tripura, 26th of September, 2026 : Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s birth anniversary was observed with due dignity at Mohanpur Panchayat Samiti Hall on Friday (25th September, 2026). The programme was organized by the Department of Information and Cultural Affairs in joint collaboration with Mohanpur Municipal Council and Mohanpur Panchayat Samiti. Hon’ble Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath formally inaugurated the programme by watering a plant. At the start of the programme, the guests paid floral tributes to the portrait of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya.

Speaking at the event, Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath said that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s core philosophy was Integral Humanism, which emphasized not just people’s physical and economic thinking but also the transformation that is, the upliftment of the human mind, intellect and soul. His concern was for the very last person in society, i.e., those left behind. He said that true development of society, the state and the nation would come about only with the development of persons with disabilities. He said the country must move forward by integrating its culture, civilization, social order and the philosophy of human life. The Agriculture Minister appealed to everyone to take the life-ideals and philosophy of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya forward in advancing the nation, society and the state. He also stressed the importance of rising above self-centered thinking and developing the state and the nation together, with the trust and effort of all.

The programme was presided over by Mohanpur Municipal Council Chairperson Anita Debnath. Also present were Mohanpur Panchayat Samiti Chairman Rakesh Deb, Panchayat Samiti Vice-Chairman Sanjeev Kumar Das, West Tripura Zilla Parishad member Niyati Bhowmik, social worker Kartik Acharya, social worker Shyamal Debnath, and others. The welcome address was delivered by the Senior Information Officer of the West District Information and Culture Office.
