For the first time, passengers arriving at the airport can explore a dedicated book fair within the beautifully designed bamboo-structured arrival area.
The initiative is aimed at making the arrival experience more engaging, welcoming and memorable for passengers, while creating a distinctive sense of place that reflects the cultural identity of Assam and the Northeast.
The book fair offers a diverse collection of books across genres, including fiction, non-fiction, children’s books and other popular reads, giving passengers an opportunity to browse and discover something of their interest while experiencing the Arrival Village.
The bamboo-structured Arrival Village serves as an important element of the experience, blending local architectural inspiration with a contemporary airport environment. The thoughtfully designed space offers passengers a warm and visually distinctive first impression of Guwahati.
