Mumbai, Maharashtra, 11th of October, 2026 : Ahvaan Kumar recently sat down with Qaseem Haider Qaseem for the 15th episode of Life Lessons, where he spoke about his short film Bandra Boy. The film looks at what happens when people start believing a story without questioning whether it is true, and how that can change someone’s life.
In Bandra Boy, a routine rave bust takes a turn as the media, police and powerful people become part of a situation where perception matters more than facts. The film explores how a person can end up facing punishment because of the way a story is presented, rather than what actually happened.
The idea behind the film comes down to a simple question: what happens when the truth no longer matters? Bandra Boy looks at how quickly public opinion can be shaped and how difficult it can be to fight back once a narrative takes hold. It also brings attention to the role played by those who have the power to influence what people believe.

Ahvaan also shared a personal story during the podcast about travelling to a friend’s wedding. He spoke about how he had always travelled in second class, so flying back and forth felt like a celebrity experience to him.
The full conversation between Ahvaan Kumar and Qaseem Haider Qaseem is now available on YouTube. Watch Life Lessons EP #15 to hear Ahvaan talk about Bandra Boy and the idea behind the film.
