Bir Bikram Ekta Camp–2026 Concludes With A Grand Closing Ceremony At Agartala, Jammu & Kashmir And Ladakh Secure First Position In NIAP.

Agartala, Tripura, 12th of October, 2026  The Bir Bikram Ekta Camp–2026 (Special National Integration Camp–I), organised by the 13 Tripura Battalion NCC under the aegis of the Directorate General of NCC, Ministry of Defence, Government of India, concluded with a grand closing ceremony at the Tripura Institute of Technology (TIT), Narsinghar, Agartala.

The ceremony was graced by Shri Kishor Barman, Hon’ble Minister of Higher Education, Government of Tripura, as the Chief Guest, along with Brigadier Anand Raj Singh, Silchar Group Commander, as the Guest of Honour. Other distinguished dignitaries included Shri Animash Debbarma, Directorate of Higher Education (DHE), Government of Tripura; Colonel N. S. Baath, Commanding Officer, 13 Tripura Battalion NCC; Vikas Malik, Administrative Officer, 13 Tripura Battalion NCC; the Officer-in-Charge of 71 Company; and the Principal of TIT, Narsinghar.

NCC officers, Associate NCC Officers (ANOs), Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs), Permanent Instructor (PI) staff, and approximately 400 NCC cadets representing different regions of the country attended the ceremony with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit.

The closing ceremony commenced with a ceremonial Guard of Honour, followed by a welcome address, lighting of the ceremonial lamp, and the National Song. The programme was further enriched by vibrant cultural performances showcasing the diverse traditions, customs, music, dance, and cultural heritage of India. The performances reflected the spirit of “Unity in Diversity” and highlighted the importance of mutual respect, national harmony, and cultural exchange among the youth.

National Integration Awareness Programme (NIAP) Competition Results
The major highlight of the closing ceremony was the announcement of the results of the National Integration Awareness Programme (NIAP) competition, in which participating teams demonstrated their cultural talents, creativity, teamwork, and commitment to national integration.

The results were as follows:

First Position: Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh

Second Position: Gujarat

Third Position: Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh

The winning teams were congratulated for their outstanding performances, dedication, and efforts in promoting the values of national unity and cultural understanding.

Addressing the gathering, the dignitaries appreciated the efforts of the organising battalion, camp staff, and participating cadets for the successful conduct of the camp. They emphasised that NCC training plays a vital role in developing discipline, leadership, teamwork, patriotism, and a strong sense of responsibility among young citizens. They also encouraged the cadets to uphold the ideals of national integration and contribute positively towards the progress and development of the nation.

The Bir Bikram Ekta Camp–2026 provided a valuable platform for cadets from different states and regions to interact, share their cultural experiences, build lasting friendships, and develop a deeper understanding of India’s rich cultural diversity. The camp also strengthened the spirit of camaraderie and brotherhood among the participants while reinforcing the importance of unity, mutual respect, and collective responsibility.

The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem, followed by a group photograph of the dignitaries, NCC officers, staff, and participating cadets, marking the successful culmination of this significant national integration event.

The successful completion of the camp stands as a testament to the commitment of the 13 Tripura Battalion NCC towards fostering national unity, leadership, discipline, and cultural harmony among the youth. The event reaffirmed the NCC motto, “Unity and Discipline,” inspiring cadets to become responsible citizens and future leaders dedicated to nation-building.
