The villagers of Dhanlekha, Lokte Para, Longtheng Para, Kalai Para and Holowa Para have jointly raised strong allegation over the concerned block & PWD authority for not renovating the dilapidated road from Kalai Para to Longtheng Para about 3.5 km distance in Dhanlekha VC under Ampinagar RD block, Gomati Tripura. As per the local sources, this road was constructed brick soiling during the period of left era. Now this road brick soiling is under the soil and it looks like earthen road. By falling soil from the hill it has been spoiled. Jungle has been grown here and there. Uneven, potholes, side collapses and ditches in the middle of the road are the appearance of the road. During raining time it is dead trap for vehicles and pedestrians. Rain water stands in the ditches on the road and creates heap of mud as the brick soiling is existing under the mud. Kaipeng, Kalai, Bongcher and Molsom people are using this road specially to come to Ampinagar for their daily requirements. When there is a emergency case villagers face problem for vehicles. Due to horrible state of the road drivers face uncertainty for their vehicle movement.

As per the villagers, they have submitted application to the concerned authority to renovate the road but the consequence is zero. So, Dhanlekha and its adjacent areas are suffering severely from road commutation constantly for last many years. The road from Gandaek to Krishnahow Para about 5 km distance is very critical for vehicles and pedestrians. The villagers appealed many times but the concerned authority is in slumber. The road ran through hilly areas and due to high speed of rain water tumbling in every rainy season it has become very unfit for communication.

Sources said that in 5 km distance only 100 metres of the road had been implemented brick soiling earlier and the rest portion of it is full of mud. The road is under ADC administration at present but due to negligence of the administration the local Kaipeng villagers are the worst victims of this dilapidated road. This kachcha road is creating tremendous woes for the rural deprived local Kaipeng people. The sides of the road have collapsed here and there by creating deep ditches. Uncountable potholes and uneven surface of the road created death trap for the vehicles and pedestrians. Due to not having brick soiling this dilapidated road is totally unfit for communication at present. For the muddy condition of this road local drivers fear to drive on this risky road. During emergency cases villagers face critical circumstances to take patients and pregnant women to hospital. In many places its sides have been collapsed and created scary big holes for vehicles movement.

Sources said that several solid guard walls are required to fill up these holes. It seems that in this upcoming rainy season it will turn more deteriorated for communication. A local Kaipeng villager said that in rainy season even bike also can not approach as the heap of mud here and there every where on this road. The concerned ADC departmental authority must visit the road and interact with the local villagers to take quick initiative for its implementation. The Kaipeng villagers demanded full carpeting of this 5 km distance of this road to create safe communication management for the common people of the areas.
