Hon’ble Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport and Tourism minister Sushanta Chowdhury inaugurated Cargo services at Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) International Airport, Agartala on Friday (28th April, 2023).
“Under the supervision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi, MBB Airport has been developed for improvising the communication system and develops state of the art aviation management in the future”, the Transport and Tourism minister said at the inaugural ceremony of Cargo services. The minister also added that local products produced of the state can be transported to national and international markets through the cargo services of this airport. Cargo services will play an important role in the economic development of the state through seamless transportation of goods.
Uttam Kumar Chakma, Secretary of the Transport Department, Debapriya Bardhan, DM West Tripura District, Subrata Chowdhury, Commissioner Transport Department, K.C. Meena, Director of MBB Airport Authority, senior officers of Cargo goods transportation services and many other dignitaries remained present in the programme.
