
Pineapples are one of the most-loved tropical fruits there are. Pineapple is one of the profitable fruits. The people of the remote areas are currently trying to become self-sufficient by cultivating this fruit. In addition to Jhum cultivation in the hills, the people of the Reang tribe have turned their attention to pineapple cultivation.
The People of Hazra Para areas of Mungiakami Rd Block are cultivating Jhum along with pineapple. Kazirang Reang, a pineapple farmer of the Reang tribe in this area, said that this year, like other years, he planted saplings in the hills. However, he spent his own money and bought seedlings. He said he received some Government assistance. Now pineapple trees have matured and started yielding. He also said that he will bring pineapple Teliamura to the market and market it. A weekly market is held in Teliamura on Mondays and Fridays. On these two days, the people from the remote areas bring their agricultural produce to the Teliamura market and sell it.
