A 65 year-old farmer killed by lightning incidents at Lembucherra under Teliamura police station on Wednesday (14th June, 2023).
According to the details of the incident, a local farmer named Khokan Malakar went to work on his paddy field on Wednesday like any other day. On Wednesday when it started raining with lightning, suddenly Khokan Malakar was seriously injured by lightning and fell on the ground. His family members along with witnesses took Khokan Malakar to the Subdivisional Hospital of Teliamura where the doctor in charge declared him dead. However, in this tragic incident, a shadow of prevailed over the entire area.
On the other hand, a housewife was also injured due to lightning strike in another house in the same area.
