Sub-Division Level Van Mahotsav Organized In Teliamura.

Sub-division level Van Mahotsav organized at Teliamura on Friday (4th August, 2023).  With the initiative of the Teliamura forest department an inspiring sub-division level Van Mahotsav programme has been organized at Ashwini Kumar Memorial Community hall, Teliamura. Vice President of Khowai Zilla Parishad Hari Shankar Pal inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. People present at the occasion planted saplings of different species. Targeting to create hygienic atmosphere in the sub-division the forest department is implementing this philanthropic work. The departmental officials have instructed to protect & look after the saplings till they became mature.

“Trees should not be neglected. A full-grown tree can supply four people with oxygen in its entirety. Planting trees, saving lives”, Teliamura Municipal Councillor Rupak Sarkar said at the Sub-Division Level Van Mahotsav programme today. He also added that Just as planting trees is important to maintain the balance of the environment, it is also necessary to eliminate plastic. Teliamura Sub Divisional Forest Officer Sabir Kanti Das, Teliamura  Sub Divisional Magistrate Abhijit Chakraborty, Teliamura Panchayat Samiti Chairman Jamuna Das, officials of Teliamura forest department, and many other dignitaries were present in the programme.
