Bishalgarh 16th of December 2023 : Border Security Force, in a joint operation, destroyed approx. 1,27,500 immature Ganja plants being illegally cultivated in the general area of Village Gajeria and Chelikhola under PS Bishalgarh. Approx 34 acres of land has been cleared by destroying the Ganja plants.
On 16th December 2023, in this series of unrelentless special operation, in addition to BSF troops representative from Narcotics Control Bureau, Forest department, TSR, state police and Excise department actively participated.
This season till date more five lakhs plants have been destroyed from different parts of the state of Tripura and more than three hundred acres of land has been reclaimed.
BSF’s persistent and concerted efforts in close coordination with sister agencies will have a positive impact on the society. Such type of operations will continue in near future.
