Kumarghat, 17th of March 2024 : On 17.03.2024, BSF in a joint operation with RPF seized 290.50 grams of suspected brown sugar worth ₹1,45,25,000/ at Kumarghat railway station from the general coach of Silchar Agartala express. Consignment was packed in 06 soap cases kept in two packets . Soap cases were wrapped as a gift packet to avoid the suspicion or detection by security personnel. No apprehension could be made as the packets were seized in abandoned condition. Further investigation is going on.
