Khowai, Tripura, 5th of August, 2024 : Two youths affected by dengue. The two affected youths are Alak Chakraborty, from Char Ganki area under Khowai District. Another is Promise Debbarma from Tulashikhar area under Khowai District. Presently both are undergoing treatment at Khowai District Hospital.
Interacting with media Mridul Das, Medical Superintendent of Khowai District Hospital said that both are now very healthy. These two young men were studying nursing courses in Bangalore. There they were infected with dengue. Then they were sent to Tripura. He said that on August 3, Promise Debbarma was admitted to Khowai District Hospital and on August 4, Alak Chakraborty was admitted. As there is no isolation ward in the hospital, they were admitted to the general ward. The Medical Superintendent of Khowai District Hospital also added that there is no possibility of infection spreading from their bodies. They are very healthy under the supervision of the doctor who is treating them. And within the next few days they will be fully recovered. However, no matter how much clarification the MS of the hospital gives in this regard, there is panic among other patients under treatment in the hospital.
