Agartala, Tripura, 28th of August, 2024 : On 27th Aug 2024, on specific information of BSF at about 2300 hrs,03 Bangladeshi nationals were apprehended in the area of BOP Kaiyadepha under PS Madhupur of Sepahijala District while they were trying to cross over Bangladesh by negotiating the border fence.
On the basis of revelation made by apprehended BD nationals, a joint operation was conducted by BSF and PS Madhupur in the morning on 28th August in ward no 02 of Indian village Kaiyadepa and two touts involved in facilitating Cross border movement of BD nationals were arrested .
In another intelligence based joint operation by BSF and GRP Agartala,PS Airport, On 27th August 2024 02 Indian Touts involved in facilitating illegal migration were arrested from Indian village Narayanpur and Gandhigram under PS Airport of District West Tripura. BSF has stepped up the vigilance along the border in Tripura and mounting surveillance on the activities of touts to break the backbone of touts module functioning across border
