Sabroom, Tripura, 26th of December, 2024 : According to the local report, that the construction of the road to Ludhua, passing by Anukul Chandra Dev’s ashram in Damdama, Sabroom, started today. But as soon as the construction of the road started, Omkar Roy, who was premises to Anukul Chandra’s ashram, occupied the government land and built a wall there a long time ago. Omkar Roy is currently obstructing the construction of the road. He is claiming the occupied government land as his own. The people of the area have long been demanding that this road be repaired and widened. But Omkar Roy is reluctant to leave the government land he had acquired. Later, when the locals complained to the Sub-Divisional Magistrate & Collector, a tehsildar was sent to the spot by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate & Collector.

The on-duty Tahsildar went to the spot in the presence of the police administration and measured the land and informed that the land occupied by Omkar Roy is government land. Despite this, he is reluctant to leave this occupied land. The locals are now demanding that the government take possession of this occupied land and start the road construction work quickly.
