Agartala, Tripura, 29th of January, 2025 : With the initiative of Industries & Commerce Department, Government of Tripura 15-day 35th Tripura Industries & Commerce Fair, 2025 has been organized at International Fair Ground, Hapania, Agartala on Wednesday (29th January, 2025). In the presence of many dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has inaugurated 35th Tripura Industries & Commerce Fair, 2025 by lighting the lamp.
“The present State Government is working on a multi-faceted plan for the overall development of the State. The way the Government is working for the development of the state, no one can stop the progress of Tripura. The state’s average domestic product has increased much more than before. Tripura is presently ranked second in terms of per capita income among the states of the North Eastern region.” Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said at the inauguration ceremony of 34th edition of Tripura Industries & Commerce Fair.
Addressing the gathering the Chief Minister also added that Tripura has become a rapidly developing state among the states of the North Eastern region. He sought everyone’s cooperation to build “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, Ek Tripura Shreshtha Tripura” and wished the success of the Industries & Commerce Fair.
As per the reports, this fair will continue from 2 pm to 9 pm every day until February 12. A total of 576 stalls have been opened in this fair. Out of these, 354 are local stalls and 144 are from outside the state. Stalls have also been opened from Afghanistan, Turkey and Dubai. This time, stalls have been opened from 17 states in the fair. The theme for this year’s is ‘Destination Tripura-Land of Opportunities’.
Vishwasree B Director of Industries & Commerce Department Government of Tripura delivered the welcome speech on the occasion. Amidst the distinguished participants there were Hon’ble Industries & Commerce, Jail (Home), OBC Welfare Minister Santana Chakma, Hon’ble Deputy Speaker Of Tripura Legislative Assembly Ram Prasad Paul, Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) and MLA Dipak Majumder, Sabhadhipati of West Tripura Zilla Parishad Balai Goswami, MLA Mina Rani Sarkar, Chairman of TIDC, Nabadal Banik, Kiran Gitte Secretary Industries & Commerce Department and many other dignitaries were present in the inauguration ceremony.
