Agartala, Tripura, 31st of May 2025 : On the occasion of World No Tobacco Day, the State Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development (SIPARD) in collaboration with the Centre for Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policies, successfully organized a one-day workshop on “Social Media and Youth Engagement for a Tobacco Free Future” at Tripura University.

The workshop, attended by 60 enthusiastic students from Tripura University, featured insightful sessions from esteemed resource persons: Dr. Rajesh Chatterjee (Faculty, Tripura University), Dr. Sujit Ghosh (Executive Director, VHAT), and Dr. Rajib Malakar (Assistant Professor – Sr. Grade, SIPARD).

A highlight of the program was the Social Media Content Writing Competition, facilitated by Dr. Rajib Malakar, where participants crafted and shared compelling posts on a tobacco-free future on their own social media handles. SIPARD proudly awarded the top five content creators for their outstanding contributions. SIPARD is proud to have funded this initiative to empower our youth.
