Agartala, Tripura, 15th of June, 2025 : On 14th June 2025, at about 1545 hrs BSF troops of BOP Dholakcheri under South Tripura district apprehended 05 cattle smuggler and rescued 12 cattle from their possession . Apprehended cattle smugglers are resident of South Tripura & Gomati district.
In a separate operation on specific information, BSF troops of BOP Nirbhoypur under West Tipura district seized 47 new mobiles phones worth Rs 10 lakhs while the consignment was being thrown by miscreants over the border fence for smuggling to Bangladesh.
In a joint operation with Police, BSF troops of BOP Karmatila under South Tripura District carried out a house search in village Karmatila and recovered foreign manufactured cigarettes, consumer & clothing items worth Rs 10 lakhs.
Recently BSF has intensified operation to prevent trans border smuggling.
