Gomati, Tripura, 17th of July 2025 : Hon’ble SC Welfare, ARD, Fisheries Minister Sudhangshu Das chaired on the review meeting with all the officials of ARD, Fisheries and SCW department, Director at the Conference hall of PRTI, Udaipur, Gomati district on Thursday (17th July, 2025).
In the meeting, Deputy Director of the Animal Resources Development Department, Dr. Binna Debbarma said that the construction of the new building of the District Veterinary Hospital in Udaipur has been completed. The hospital will be inaugurated on July 18. A cowshed will be constructed in Purba Mirza Gram Panchayat . He said that the construction of the building of the veterinary dispensaries in Kankraban and Notun Bazar has been completed. In addition, the construction of 9 veterinary sub-centers is underway. The work of 3 has already been completed. The construction of 2 veterinary dispensaries in Bagma and Kira will start very soon. The pig farm built in Thakchhara of Amarpur will be inaugurated very soon. He also said that there are 1 lakh 1 thousand 284 cows, 786 sheep, 668 buffaloes, 52 thousand 704 goats, 30 thousand 34 pigs, and 1 lakh 78 thousand 927 ducks in Gomati district. He said that Gomati district currently has 2 hospitals, 9 veterinary dispensaries and a district poultry farm. Besides, the implementation of various projects of the Scheduled Castes Welfare Department was also discussed in detail.
