Agartala, Tripura, 18th of August 2025 : On specific information of the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF) secret operation was launched in Agartala Railway Station on Monday (18th August, 2025) evening. According to the sources, along with the RPF, arrested one man drug peddlers from Agartala Railway Station, and seized a total of 5.255 Kg dry cannabis worth ₹ 1 lakh. They wanted to take it to other state by train using Agartala railway station.

According to sources, at about 6 PM one person namely Sanjit Roy (32), S/O- Sri Ram Saran Ray of Bambaiya Harlal, PS- Dalsingsarai, Samastipur, Bihar has been arrested from Agartala Railway station with 5.255 Kg contraband cannabis (Ganja). The value of this Ganja in black market is about Rs.1 Lakh. He is carrying that Ganja to Bihar. A specific case vide  Agartala GRPS case no-2025GRP083, U/S-20(b)(ii)(B)/29 NDPS Act has registered against him.
