Ahmedabad, 19th of August 2025 : The Global Indian International School (GIIS, Ahmedabad, in collaboration with the Rising Youth Network India, successfully hosted the third edition of its prestigious Model United Nations conference – GIIS-RYN MUN 3.0. Held from 14th to 17th August 2025, the event brought together over 500 delegates from 60 schools across India, GIIS-RYN MUN 3.0 witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 300 students hailing from both local schools in Ahmedabad, Surat, Gandhinagar, Baroda, Pune, Delhi, and various GSG Campuses, including 100 from GIIS Ahmedabad, 9 from GIIS Noida, 38 from GIIS Balewadi, 1 from Glendale Hyderabad and 12 from Glendale International Cambridge, Hyderabad. This four-day event served as a melting pot of diverse perspectives that brought together students who shared a common passion and enthusiasm for global affairs.

The opening ceremony of the GIIS-RYN MUN 3.0 was graced by esteemed dignitaries including Mr. Amit Thaker, Member of Gujarat Legislative Assembly; Mr. Sanjay MS Raval, renowned Gujarati speaker, author, and filmmaker; and Mr. Chiranjiv Patel, entrepreneur and MD of PC Snehal Group, who is also the second Gujarati to represent India at the UN.
The conference provided students with a platform to engage in dynamic debates and simulate the workings of international diplomacy. The committees addressed significant topics including the legal framework for religious endowments in India, threats to national security, Gujarat’s roadmap to a $1 trillion economy by 2030, human rights in South Asia, and establishing international frameworks to tackle cybersecurity threats, among others. A dedicated Journalism & Photography committee also enabled students to explore the media’s role in global affairs.
“GIIS-RYN MUN is not just about academic debate, it is about shaping a generation of empathetic and forward-thinking leaders,” said Mr. Caesar D’Silva, Principal, GIIS Ahmedabad. “Through this conference, we are providing an open platform for students to develop leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills that will serve them throughout their lives,” he added.
Speaking about the success of the conference, Mr. Ansh Balani, President, Rising Youth Network India, said, “Our vision with GIIS-RYN MUN is to create a platform where students can explore diverse perspectives, build mutual respect, and collaborate on innovative solutions for global challenges. The enthusiasm, preparation, and commitment shown by the delegates this year were truly inspiring,” he remarked.

The five-day conference concluded with an award ceremony recognising exceptional delegates and committees, celebrating not only competitive spirit but also collaboration, cultural exchange, and a shared vision for a better world.
