Agartala, Tripura, 26th of August 2025 : With the initiative of Bighnaharta Social organization organized Ganesh Puja and Blood donation camp at IGM Chowmuhani, Agartala, Tripura on Tuesday (26th August, 2025). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the Ganesh Puja and Blood donation camp.

Addressing at the inaugural ceremony of Ganesh Puja and Blood donation camp Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that Blood donation not only saves lives, but also conveys a message of mutual cooperation, responsibility, and unity to society. The Chief Minister said, “Today, Ganesh Puja is being held in various places across the state. We worship according to traditional thought. In that worship, the polluted thoughts of the mind and soul are removed. Since the present Government was established in the State, the number of various pujas in the State has increased a lot.”
The Chief Minister also added at the event, there is no greater donation than blood donation. Blood is required for operations on terminally ill patients, deliveries, and treatment of road accident victims. In this case, doctors benefit if blood banks have sufficient stocks of blood. Therefore, there is a need to create a mass movement for blood donation. He said, there is no greater puja than human service. Our government is also working for the welfare of the people. The current Government is fighting against drugs. There is a need for a mass movement to make all people more aware and alert about drugs and AIDS. If necessary, discussions and monitoring should be held in each area. Social organizations should play an important role in this regard. Only through this will the correctness of the name of social organizations be maintained.

Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) and MLA Dipak Majumder, Chairperson, Agartala Municipal Corporation Central Zone Ratna Datta, South Zone Chairman Abhijit Mallick, Social activist Papiya Datta and Shyaml Kubar Deb, members of Vignaharta Social organization and many other distinguished dignitaries were present in the inauguration ceremony today.
