Sonamura, Tripura, 5th of December, 2025 : Sonamura Police in joint operations with STF and 81BN BSF and sister agencies secret operation was launched in at Sonamura on Thursday (4th December, 2025). Sonamura Police and other agencies, recovered and seized total 324 kg Dry Cannabis (Ganja).
According to the Police, on Thursday (4th December, 2025) morning during patrolling duty raid and searched at Bijoynagar, kalabari, in jungle recovered and seized total 324 kg Dry as as unclaimed in to 14 nos. container. After that seized it after observing all legal formalities as unclaimed. The destination market value of the seized ganja is approximately to be 4860000 only.
Interacted with media Inspector Tapas Das, Officer in Charge Sonamura Police Station said that Sonamura police has started an investigation as to who could be the owner of these illegal Seizes ganja. OC also stated that such operations against illegal contrabands would continue next day.
