Amarpur, Tripura, 19th of December 2025 : With the initiative of Block Co-ordinator (I/S) of Ampi nagar a sub divisional level sports tournament 2025-26 has been organized here in Ampi nagar H/S School ground with great enthusiasm and interest today. On this occasion many distinguished dignitaries from the concerned education department from Ampi and Amarpur have assembled here in the programme venue. In presence of many invited participants Ampi 41 constituency MLA Pathan Lal Jamatia has inaugurated the event.
As per the report, to beautify the event the organizer has constituted the tournament with miscellaneous sport items like high jump, long jump, jevelin throws, shot pot etc. 100 mt., 200 mt. & 400 mt. sprint for boys & girls have generated spirit amidst the spectators. Addressing the participants MLA Pathan Lal Jamatia has said, “To fulfil students’ education perfect sports keep a vital role in student life. Physical fitness is essential for education learners. Every school should inspires students towards games and sports and should make them engaged with sports culture. Games and sports create good personality for students.” At the end the BPC organizer authority has distributed appreciation letter cum prizes to all 18 school team winner players.
Amidst the special dignitaries there were Sankar Chandra Das, (I/S, Ampi, state) convener, Sindhu Chandra Jamatia, Ampi BAC chairman, Dasharath D/B, I/S of Amarpur, Bishal Saha, sub divisional sports officer, Amarpur, Ruatfela Darlong, DBO, Ampi, Noor Bahadur Reang, SDPO, Ampi, Shipsonlian Kaipeng, Ampi MDC and many others remained present in the event.
