Atal Poetry And Literature Festival 2025 Inaugurates By Industries & Commerce Minister Of Tripura Santana Chakma.

Dharmanagar, Tripura, 25th of December, 2025 : With the initiative of Information & Cultural Affairs Department Government of Tripura organized Atal Poetry and Literature Festival 2025 at Vivekananda Sardha Satabarshiki Bhawan, Dharmanagar, Tripura on Thursday (25th December, 2025).

In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Industries & Commerce, Jail (Home), OBC Welfare Minister Santana Chakma inaugurated the Atal Poetry and Literature Festival 2025by lighting the lamp today.

Address at the inaugural ceremony of Atal Poetry and Literature Festival Hon’ble Industries & Commerce Minister Santana Chakma said that former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee  is an inspiration for our progress. By following the path shown by him, our country is moving forward. She said that we must move forward by following the path shown by late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee for the development of the country. The next generation must also be associated with this vision. The present state government is working towards that goal as well.

Highlighting the occasion, the Industries and Commerce Minister remarked that the State Government is implementing various schemes to build a self-reliant Tripura by ensuring the development of the underprivileged sections of society. To build a self-reliant Tripura, every person in the state must become self-dependent, and the use of indigenous products must be increased. She also said that various self-help groups are producing different products using locally available raw materials, and they are achieving success. Many have already become “Lakhpati Didis.” Such opportunities did not exist earlier. Due to the current policies of the central and state governments, self-help groups are becoming self-reliant. The goal is to build a developed India by 2047.

Secretary of Information & Cultural Affairs Dr. Pradip Kumar Chakraborty delivered a welcome address at the inaugural session of the event. He said that the State Government is working tirelessly for the development of the state’s composite culture. The poems written by late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee reflect the country’s culture, history, preservation of integrity, and national unity. His birth anniversary is also observed as Good Governance Day.

Amidst the distinguished dignitaries participants there were North Tripura District Magistrate and Collector Chandni Chandran, Sabhadhipati of the North Tripura Zilla Parishad Aparna Nath, MLA Jadab Lal Debnath, Chairperson of the Dharmanagar Municipal Council Mitali Rani Das Sen, Tripura State Cultural Advisory Committee Vice Chairman Subrata Chakraborty, social activist Kajal Kumar Das and many other distinguished dignitaries were present in the ceremony.
