Mumbai, Maharashtra, 26th of December, 2025 : Reliance Jio recorded strong digital connectivity growth across the North East in the first 10 months of 2025, supported by rapid expansion of home broadband services and steady growth in wireless subscribers, as per the monthly telecom subscription reports released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).

Home broadband emerged as a key growth driver in the region. During the first 10 months of 2025, Jio added 72,155 new home broadband subscribers across the North East through a combined rollout of JioFiber , JioAirFiber and fixed wireless 5G, with a total of 323,140 connected homes. The growth highlights increasing adoption of high-speed internet services in a region characterised by difficult terrain and limited traditional broadband infrastructure.
In wireless services, Jio continued to strengthen its footprint across the North East. As per TRAI data, Jio’s wireless subscriber base in the region stood at 4,418,467 users as of the end of October 2025. The steady expansion reflects rising mobile data usage and improving access to digital services across both urban centres and remote areas.
The regional growth mirrors Jio’s national performance during the same period. In the first 10 months of 2025, Jio added over 27 million subscribers nationwide, crossing 509 million users, and emerged as the world’s leading Fixed Wireless Access provider, adding close to one million home broadband connections every month across India.
By combining large-scale wireless connectivity with rapidly expanding home broadband services, Reliance Jio is deepening digital inclusion across the North East, enabling better access to communication, education, healthcare, and economic opportunities.
