Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers Presents Annual Programme Of ‘Swarnagram Shikshalaya’.

Agartala, Tripura, 13th of January, 2026 : Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers presented The 17th Annual Sports Day of ‘Swarnagram Shikshalaya‘ at Warengbari on Tuesday, 13th January 2026.

‘Swarnagram’ is an initiative of Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers that is dedicated to showcase Warengbari, in Gomati district, as a model village project.

And ‘Swarnagram Shikshalaya’ is a residential school project of Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers that has been adopted to add to existing facilities and amenities for resident students, provide proper nutrition and study material, organise dedicated teachers, sports instructors and scholarships for meritorious students.

And the Annual Sports Day & Prize-giving Ceremony of ‘Swarnagram Shikshalaya’ is really a celebration of excellence in studies and sports.

Trophies and medals were awarded to the best Boy & Girl in sports and studies – with prizes presented to students showing much promise.

Best boy and girl for sports are awarded to Awinel Reang and

Paramita Reang.

Along with best boy and girl for education are awarded to Juniyel Reang and Koyal Reang.

All in an environment of much joy and cheer.

And this spirited event also included distribution of blankets to ‘Swarnagram’ residents – including students of the ‘Shikshalaya’.

The event was attended by entrepreneur Suman Dasgupta, Alak Adhikari, committee members of Tripura Jewellery Association along with Rupak Saha, director, Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers.

“Swarnagram, for us, is a very special project that started as a dream seventeen years ago”, said Rupak Saha, Director, Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers, “And, today, that dream has been realised to a large extent – thanks to the patronage of concerned government departments, contribution of associates and, most importantly, response of the people of Swarnagram and support of our friends from the news media”.

“However, much work remains to be done”, added Rupak Saha, “And the annual sports day is a move in the direction of developing youth power”.

The day’s programme was followed by a community feast and, as always, ended on a sweet note.
