Agartala, Tripura, 21st of January, 2026 : The Office of the Principal Accountant General (Audit), Tripura, Agartala will be organizing two major Table Tennis tournaments of the Indian Audit and Accounts Department at the Netaji Subhash Regional Coaching Centre, Agartala.
The East Zone Table Tennis Tournament, 2025-26 is scheduled from 21 January 2026 to 23 January 2026, followed by the Inter Zonal Table Tennis Tournament, 2025-26, scheduled from 03 February 2026 to 06 February 2026.
Accordingly, the inauguration ceremony of the East Zone Table Tennis Tournament was held on 21 January 2026 morning and graced by Shri PK Chakraborty, Secretary to the Government of Tripura, Education (Youth Affairs & Sports) Department. He encouraged the players and conveyed his best wishes to all. The opening ceremony was also, attended by Senior Deputy Accountant General (Administration) Shri Kavyadeep Joshi, Senior Deputy Accountant General (Accounts & Entitlements) Smt. Tanushree Biswas, Deputy Accountant General Shri Himanshu, along with other distinguished dignitaries.
These tournaments aim to promote sportsmanship and esprit de corps among employees of the Indian Audit and Accounts Department, while also providing a competitive platform for talented Table Tennis players recruited in the department, along with other officers and officials. Various events including singles, doubles, veterans (40+) and veterans (50+) categories will be contested.
Total 65 players from the teams of Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, West Bengal-A, West Bengal-B, and Tripura are taking part in this Tournament
