Mumbai, Maharashtra, 13th of October, 2026 : An ambitious effort to transform Goswami Tulsidas’ timeless literary masterpiece, Shri Ramcharitmanas, into a 52-hour musical presentation is now set to reach audiences. The teaser of this grand project, featuring the soulful voice of renowned Bollywood playback singer Madhushree and the compositions of music director Robby Badal, was launched in Mumbai. Both artists have dedicated nearly two years to bringing this ambitious devotional project to life. The teaser was released under the banner of Royant Music.
The teaser launch ceremony was attended by several distinguished guests, including spiritual guru Oma The Akk, producer-director-actor Karan Razdan, actor Gagan Malik, Vastu expert Dr. Khoja, actress Kampal Patel, Parag Chaphekar and Mahima Bhardwaj, among others. The guests described the initiative as a significant step towards bringing together India’s spiritual traditions and the power of music.
Sharing her experience, Madhushree said, “The entire Ram Katha can now be experienced as a musical journey. I dedicated myself to the name of Lord Ram. For more than two years, I continued singing Ramcharitmanas, completely immersed in devotion.”
She further added, “I am Bengali, and singing the entire Ramcharitmanas in Awadhi was a major challenge for me. But when I began by taking the name of Lord Ram, I felt that I had received His blessings. The story of Ramcharitmanas is so deeply emotional that there were times when tears filled my eyes while singing. When we sing film songs, there is often an expectation of success and popularity. However, I had no such expectations from this presentation. I sang it purely with devotion. I would say that I did not merely sing it; I performed a spiritual sadhana.”
Music composer Robbie Badal, who has composed the 52-hour musical presentation, said, “It was not easy to create Shri Ramcharitmanas in this form. It would not have been possible without Madhushree’s voice. I had never imagined that I would get the privilege of composing music for Ramcharitmanas. I come from a small village, and this is a very big achievement for me.”
Omaa The Akk Calls It an Initiative to Connect Generations
Spiritual guru Omaa The Akk praised Madhushree’s dedication, saying, “At a time when art is often viewed through the lens of business and fame, Madhushree has dedicated two years of her life and career to Ramcharitmanas. Her devotion and commitment are truly admirable.”
Vastu expert Dr. Khoja and other guests also extended their best wishes to both artists. Dr. Khoja highlighted the spiritual power of the name of Lord Ram and appreciated the initiative.
During the ceremony, video messages from Padma Shri awardee Anup Jalota, singer Kailash Kher, Kumar Sanu, and actress Mandakini conveyed their best wishes to Madhushree and Robbie Badal. Congratulating Madhushree, Anup Jalota said that she had done a beautiful job.
Karan Razdan, director of the film Hindutva, said that Madhushree had been talking about Ramcharitmanas for the past two years. He congratulated Madhushree and Robbie Badal on this ambitious initiative and expressed hope that the presentation would reach future generations.
