A Comprehensive Community Health and Social Welfare Drive Organized By All Tripura Community Health Officers.

Agartala, Tripura, 13th of December, 2025 : All Tripura Community Health Officers Organisation associated All India association of community Health Officers in collaboration ABHOY Mission organized A Comprehensive Community Health and Social Welfare Drive in collaboration ABHOY Mission at Abhoy Ashram, Gakulnagar, Bishalgarh on Saturday (13th December, 2025).

In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Finance, Planning & Coordination, Information Technology Minister Pranajit Singha Roy inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp.  This was followed by the inauguration of the health camp stalls and the felicitation of distinguished guests. The children of Abhay Ashram captivated everyone by presenting the inaugural song.

Agartala, Tripura, 13th of December, 2025 : The All Tripura Community Health Officers Organization has been working in the public interest of the State for a long time. Community Health Officers (CHOs) carry out their duties with responsibility and dedication throughout the year in areas such as awareness campaigns for the prevention of dengue and malaria, malaria testing, blood smearing, and larva destruction. According to sources, at present, nearly 900 Community Health Officers are ensuring uninterrupted healthcare services at the grassroots level across almost every village, town, and hilly area of Tripura.

Their role is extremely important in all these areas, including antenatal and intrapartum care, newborn and child health, adolescent health, reproductive healthcare services, management of communicable and non-communicable diseases, primary care for eye and ear–nose–throat conditions, basic dental check-ups, palliative care for the elderly, emergency medical assistance, and mental health services.

The General Secretary of the organization Pritam Dey delivered a welcome address at the inaugural session of the event.

At the event a beautiful group dance performed by the children, which made the programme even more vibrant. One of the key highlights of the event was the handover of various essential items to Abhay Ashram. On behalf of ATCHOO, wheelchairs, walkers, nebulizers, winter clothing, sports equipment, essential items for the elderly and children, first-aid boxes, and several other necessary supplies were donated.

A free health camp was organized, where people received free health check-ups and necessary medicines through a coordinated team of general physicians, dental surgeons, ophthalmologists, and Ayurvedic practitioners. Special physical examinations and follow-up advisory services were also provided, particularly for the elderly.

Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were District Magistrate and Collector Dr. Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal, Chairperson of  Panchayat Atashi Das, social activist Kajal Sarkar, Chief Medical Officer of the district, Dr. Debashish Das, Supriya Das Dutta, Sabhadhipati of the Sipahijala Zilla Parisha, MLA Antara Sarkar Deb and many other dignitaries were participated in the event.

Throughout the programme, everyone was impressed by the CHOs’ organizational skills, coordination, objectives, and commitment to public health. Locals thanked the concerned authorities for their generous and appreciable initiative. The program concluded with a vote of thanks Susmita Dey, Secretary of Abhay Mission.
