A Five-Day Matsasakhi And Master Trainer Thematic Training Programme Under The Fisheries PIU, TRESP.

Agartala, Tripura, 1st of November, 2025 : A five-day Matsasakhi and Master Trainer Thematic Training Programme under the Fisheries PIU, TRESP, was successfully held at the Fish Farmer Training Centre, Kanchanpur, North Tripura, from 27th to 31st October 2025. Organized by the Sub-Divisional Fishery Office, Kanchanpur, with support from DPMU North Tripura, the training aimed to enhance scientific aquaculture practices and strengthen the skills of rural fish farmers.

The programme brought together Master Trainers and Matsasakhis from Dasda, Laljuri, Damchara, and Pechartal blocks, who received hands-on training in pond management, feed preparation, seed production, and sustainable fish farming techniques. Participants showed great enthusiasm to adopt improved methods and contribute to livelihood development in their communities.

With the dedicated support of TRESP official Songhita Paul and team DPMU as well as  the Fisheries Department, the training ended on a hopeful note — inspiring participants to become catalysts of change in their villages and paving the way for a more sustainable and prosperous future for North Tripura’s aquaculture sector.
