Dharmanagar, Tripura, 26th of July 2026 : Commemorating the bravery and supreme sacrifice of the soldiers who fought in the Kargil War, the Dharmanagar Town Unit of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) organized a tribute ceremony and mashal rally in Dharmanagar, North Tripura, on Sunday to mark Kargil Vijay Diwas.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from ABVP members, aiming to promote patriotism, national unity, and express gratitude to the brave martyrs of the Indian Armed Forces.
The event began with a solemn tribute to the soldiers who laid down their lives during the 1999 Kargil War.Speakers highlighted that the courage, sacrifice, and patriotism displayed by the Indian Army during the conflict will remain an enduring chapter in the nation’s history and continue to inspire future generations to serve the country.
Following the tribute, a mashal rally was taken out through the major streets of Dharmanagar. Participants carried flaming mashals and raised patriotic slogans, paying homage to the fallen heroes and remembering the invaluable contribution of the Indian Armed Forces in safeguarding the country’s sovereignty.
Among those present was Aniket Deb, Convenor of the ABVP Dharmanagar Organisational District. Several office-bearers, workers, and members of the organization also actively participated in the rally.Concluding the programme, ABVP stated that Kargil Vijay Diwas is not merely a remembrance of a historic military victory, but a day to honour the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering patriotism of the soldiers who dedicated their lives to the nation. Their legacy, the organization said, will continue to inspire generations to come.
