Agartala, Tripura, 4th of August, 2024 : Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha visited the violence hit area under Gonda Twisa Sub-Division today on 4th August, 2024 along with MLA Nandita Reang, Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, DGP Amitabh Ranjan. Chief Minister went to the house of deceased Parameswar Reang and discussed with parent & other family members of the deceased. He also visited the Narayanpur Market, 33KV, 30 Card area etc. The Chief Minister went to the relief camp set up at Gonda Twisa H.S School and interacted with persons who took shelter there and distributed study materials to school going children.
After the visit Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha hold a press conference and announced the decision for extending additional financial assistance to family of deceased Parameswar Reang and 145 families affected due to violent actives. He also announced the approval for allocation of fund for various developmental activities in Gonda Twisa Sub Division. Chief Minister stressed that maintenance of peace and harmony is the essential prerequisite for developmental activates. He also stated that strict measures will be taken to maintain law &order. The trouble makers who are making conspiracy to disturb harmony will be dealt severely as per the provision of law. He announced that two new additional permanent security camps will be set up in 33 KV and 30 Card area in addition to the existing camp at MG Das Para and Ramnagar in Gonda Twisa.
In the Press Conference Chief Minister announced that in addition to already extended financial assistance of Rs. 6 lakh another Rs. 4 lakh will be sanctioned in favour of the family of deceased Parameswar Reang. He added that additional financial assistance amounting to Rs 2,30,40,000/- will be granted for 145 families affected due to violence which will be in addition to already extended Rs. 1,14,80,000/-, thereby total financial assistance for these families will be Rs. 3,45,20,000/-Total 101 families whose houses got fully damaged will get Rs.. 2,05,000/- each in addition to earlier assisted amount of Rs. 95,000/- Likewise families whose houses got severely damaged will get Rs. 1 Lakh each in addition to earlier assisted amount of R 50,000/-, Depending upon the extent of damages additional assistance will also be provided to the 31 families whose house damaged partially and who earlier provided assistance at the rate of Rs. 25,000/-, Rs.20,000/- Rs. 15,000/-, Rs.10000/-, and Rs.5000/- each will get equal amount of additional financial assistance again.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha today announced sanction of Rs. 239.10 Cr. for 17 development projects in Gonda Twisa Sub Division. These include approval of Rs. 1.00 Cr for 30 market stalls in Narayanpur Market, Rs.1.00 Cr for maintenance and up gradation of Dasaram Choudhury Para Super Market; Rs.10 Cr. for the comprehensive development of Gonda Twisa market consisting of internal road, street light, drain, paved blocks etc; Rs.150 Cr. for development of 51 KM long Amabassa-Gonda Twisa Road; Rs.19.20 Cr for construction of new building & retrofitting works of existing building of Gonda Twisa Sub Divisional Hospital; Rs.12Cr. for development 9 KM long Hathimara – Dalpati Road; Rs. 8 Cr. for development of 5 KM long Ranjitpara- Buddhijoy Para road under Raisyabari; Rs.7.5 Cr. for improvement of 3 KM long road to Jamatiapara from Amabassa-Gonda Twisa Road under Dumuburnagar, Rs.6 Cr. for synthetic turf in the football ground of Gonda Twisa Class XII School; Rs.5 Cr. for improvement of Fishery in Dumboor, Rs.5 Cr. for setting up of integrated 50 bedded Rehabilitation center for Drug addicts at Gonda Twisa.
In the Press Conference Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha also announced sanction Rs.5 Cr. for setting up of smart class rooms, furniture procurement and other infrastructure creation in Schools of GondaTwisa; Rs.3 Cr. for solar power. Micro cold storage (15 MT) for Mango growers of Raisyabari; Rs.3 Cr. for cold storage and cold Chamber vehicle for transportation of Fish to Agartala & other markets; Rs.2 Cr. for development of indoor Badminton Court at Gonda Twisa; Rs.1.30 Cr for improvement of dilapidated buildings of 10 Anganwadi Centres and Rs.10 Lakhs for setting up of CCTV Cameras in Gonda Twisa market area. During the visit among others DGP (Intelligence) Anurag, Home Secretary Dr. P.K. Chakravarty, Revenue Secretary Brijesh Pandey, Secretary of Social Welfare & Social Education Tapas Roy, Special Secretary of Education Raval Hemendra Kumar, Director of Tribal Welfare Subasish Das, Chief Engineer of PWD Rajib Debbarma, District Magistrate & Collector of Dhalai District Saju Vaheed and Superintendent of Police of Dhalai District Avinash Rai , senior officials and many others remained present.
