Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare Minister Of Tripura Ratan Lal Nath Inaugurates Krishak Bandhu Kendra At Chantail, Chandipur RD Block.

Agartala, Tripura, 13th of August, 2025 : With the initiative of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department Government of Tripura organized inauguration ceremony of Krishak Bandhu Kendra at Chantail under the Chandipur RD Block on Wednesday (13th August, 2025). In the presence of many dignitaries Hon’ble Power, Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath has inaugurated the event.

Addressing at the inauguration ceremony of Krishak Bandhu Kendra Hon’ble Power, Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath said that Farmers must become self-reliant. Keeping this goal, the State Government is working tirelessly for the welfare of farmers. Farmers provide us with food. They are the backbone of agricultural production. The cost of construction of the Krishak Bandhu Kendra was 83 lakh 28 thousand 400.

The Agriculture minister also added that highlighted the development of communication system in the state, increasing drinking water connection through pipelines, increasing fish, meat, egg production, and development of tourism sector. Addressing the event the agriculture minister highlighted the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. He said that if this project is adopted, electricity bills will be saved. Income can also be earned by selling the excess electricity generated.

Speaking on the occasion the Hon’ble Youth Affairs & Sports, Social Welfare & Social Education Minister Tinku Roy said that the previous government did not take any significant initiative for the overall development of the people of the state. The current government is implementing various projects for the overall welfare of the people of the state. In the context, he highlighted the increase in wages of tea garden workers, granting land leases to tea workers, etc.

Ten farmers were felicitated at the event. In addition, various agricultural equipment  including power tillers were distributed among the farmers. The event was presided over by Chandipur Panchayat Samiti Chairman Sampa Das Pal.

Dipak Kumar Das, Director of Horticulture & Soil Conservation department  delivered a welcome address at the inaugural session of Krishak Bandhu Kendra today. Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were Unakoti Zilla Saha-Sabhadipati Amalendu Das, Zilla Parishad member Bimal Kar, Unakoti District Magistrate & Collector Dr. Tamal Majumdar, officials and many other distinguished dignitaries were present in the ceremony.
