Agartala, Tripura, 29th of March 2025 : With the initiative of All India Women Congress Sadar District committee organized rally at Agartala on Saturday (29th March, 2025). All India Women Congress Sadar District committee organized rally demanding implementation of 33% women reservation Bill. Their demands the 33 percent women’s reservation bill is not being implemented even after a long time since it became a law. Sadar District Women congress to protest the implementation of that law and the increasing rape, murder and torture of women and children. The rally start from Swami Vivekananda statue of Swami Vivekananda ground premises, Agartala and passes through various routes of Agartala city and return to Tripura Pradesh Congress Bhawan, Post Office Chowmuhani.
Addressing at the rally, the President of the Pradesh Women Congress, Sarbani Ghosh Chakraborty said that the number of crimes against women is constantly increasing across the country and across the state, women are not protected in any way under this BJP rule, if the 33 percent women reservation law is not implemented immediately, then the Women Congress will choose of a larger movement in the coming days, and called on women from all walks of life to unite and raise their voices for the protection of women in the interests of women in the state of the country.
Amidst the participants there were Tripura Pradesh Congress President Ashish Kumar Saha, Senior spokesperson Pradip Chakraborty, Pradesh Congress Vice President Madan Saha, Pradesh Women Congress President Sarbani Ghosh Chakraborty and many others remained present in this rally.
