Amarpur, Tripura, 9th of May 2025 : With the initiative of Ampi Agri Subdivision, Gomati Tripura a sub division level programme on disbursement of cash assistance benefit through DBT mode under NDRF scheme to the affected farmers for damage of crops and agri. land due to unprecedented flood occurred in the month of August 2024 was conducted here in conference hall of the superintendent of Agriculture in Ompi Agri Subdivision, Gomati Tripura today.
On this occasion a large number of local flood affected cultivators from all over 22 VC under Ompi nagar block have assembled here in the programme venue. In presence of many programme dignitaries 41 Ompi Nagar constituency MLA Pathanlal Jamatia has inaugurated the programme. As per the official report, agriculture department has already paid Rs. 1000 to all flood affected farmers equally long back. In the presence this large number of farmers Ompi SA Nibash Debbarma has motivated all affected farmers that the department is gracious to cultivators and they will have proper support from the agriculture department. Today, through this programme the concerned authority has declared that onwards now more compensation payment process is initiating online for all affected farmers. He more added that assistance would be paid online to farmers’ account according to their crops & land damaged quantity. It has been determined that within a week compensation disbursement would be completed.
Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were Ampi BAC chairman Sindhu Chandra Jamatia, Ampi Krishi Morcha president Ashim Kalai and many others remained present in the programme.
