Gomati, Tripura, 3rd of June, 2025 : Demanding Gomati district DM Tarit Kanti Chakma’s immediate transfer from Gomati district TMP warriors raised strong voice against him and locked Ampi Nagar block and other State Government offices here in Ampinagar in Gomati Tripura on Monday (2nd June, 2025). To accelerate the movement stronger a large number TMP activists and its wing organizations as TWF, YTF, TCF etc have gathered in the programme. Under the leadership of Ampi block TMP president Sanjay Jamatia a huge gathering has sat in front of Ampi block main gate and raised their voice to take immediate action against the DM of Gomati district.
As per the report, recently Bubagra along with CEM Purna Chandra Jamatia of TTAADC went to meet with DM in his quarter in Udaipur but the concerned district DM refused to meet with them. According to TMP leaders Bubagra wanted to discuss over some important issues related with TTAADC administration but DM denied to respond. As a consequence high dissatisfaction has been prevailed amidst TMP leaders and raised strong allegation over his treatment; they demanded immediate action against the DM as he did not concentrate over the public issue, TMP leaders alleged.
Ampi block TMP president Sanjay Jamatia has said, “The DM did not receive Bubagra’s call in last one month and later on Bubagra has gone to meet directly with him in his quarter as there were some crucial issues related with public interest but the DM refused to meet with Bubagra which is totally undemocratic and immoral. He has insulted our superior directly. We can’t tolerate like this disrespect to our Bubagra. We want Philanthropist DM who would be gentle, generous, responsible and cooperative proportional with all. We do not think that through his administration social harmony and prosperity will appear in the district. We want his transfer from our district right now.” Today almost whole day the offices remained closed and in the evening the shut down has been removed.
