Amarpur, 22nd of August 2024 : Due to constantly heavy rain for last few days people in different VCs in Ampinagar are in great distressed. Many families became homeless and taken shelter in schools and other places. Farmers are in despair condition. Crops have been destroyed widely. Many houses have been collapsed; damaged household articals. No electricity for last three days. Even people are unable to make communication with government authorities. Due to landslides many roads are blocked.

To see the horrible situation Ampi MDC Sadagar Kalai alongwith Ampi block BDO Ruatfela Darlong and other social activists were found very busy to go to different places for inspection where there were victim families exist. Though it was heavy rain but young MDC and Ampi block BDO alongwith some other social activists visited many backward areas under Ampi block and practically investigated large number of victim families. MDC has taken initiative along with BDO to provide them government amenities. Ampi 23 constituency MDC Sadagar Kalai rushed many areas in search of distressed families alongwith Ampinagar DBO. They have interacted with those homeless families who have taken shelter in schools and other safe places and provided food to them. Mr. Kalai has advised the families and gave them tips to handle the situation. His philanthropic attitude and promptness to stand beside the victim families have been appreciated by the people of Ampi nagar.
