Mumbai, Maharashtra, 10th of March 2026 : For any actor, the first award is more than just a trophy—it represents the culmination of dreams, hard work, and the beginning of a promising journey. For young actor Aishwarya Thackeray, this special moment arrived when he won the Best Debut Male (Jury Choice) award at the News18 Showsha Reel Awards 2026. He received the honour for his impressive performance in director Anurag Kashyap’s film Nishaanchi.

Aishwarya also expressed gratitude to the distinguished jury members, including Priyadarshan, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, Tanvi Azmi, Saurabh Sachdeva, Shruti Mahajan, Mahima Chaudhry, and Tavishi Paitandy.
After receiving the award, Aishwarya shared his happiness on social media by posting pictures with the trophy and wrote, “The very first. Thank you CNN News18. Thank you to my family on Nishaanchi.” His post received warm congratulations from many members of the film industry.
While accepting the award, he said, “For me, an award is not just recognition; it is a responsibility to do better work and bring better stories to audiences.” He also thanked director Anurag Kashyap, saying that starting his film journey with him was a privilege.

Aishwarya also expressed gratitude to his co-actors Vedika Pinto, Monika Panwar, Zeeshan Ayyub, Kumud Mishra, and Vineet Kumar Singh.
He concluded his speech with a short poem he wrote himself: “Raaste main apne banaunga, galtiyan meri ab na badhaunga, Kaamyabi paane ke baad bhi duniya sabko sunaunga.”
With his powerful debut in Nishaanchi and this prestigious honour, Aishwarya Thackeray has clearly established himself as a promising and sensitive talent to watch in the coming years.
