Anganwadi Workers Conducted Mega Rally Over Five Items Of Charter Demands.

The Anganwadi Centre workers are the victim of different kinds of deficiencies. With the initiative of Anganwadi Centre workers under Ampinagar RD block a mega rally has been conducted here on Teliamura-Amarpur road in Ampinagar today (25th July, 2022). Due to constant deprivation of their legal provisions for the Anganwadi Centres management the workers are in trouble to run their centres. Today being excited the workers of 171 centres have raised their voice and organized rally with slogan in Ampinagar and assembled in the premises of Ampi CDPO office. The woman ICDS workers have given deputation to the ICDS office in-charge demanding immediate solution of their problems. The officer in-charge Swapan Chakraborty has accepted their memorandum of charter demands and assured them to take quick initiative over the issues.

The Anganwadi madams have placed the following demands: 1. Their job regularization, 2. After regularization same salary for same job should be implemented, 3. To provide retirement gratuity under the payment of gratuity act 1972. 4. To provide pension and other additional facilities after retirement just like other govt. employees. 5. Retirement age should be extended at the age of 65 years. As per the Anganwadi workers, they are not getting children feeding bill for last four​ months. The shop keepers are denying them to provide required articles. Apart that the concerned authority is not giving them some other additional amenities too which they used to get earlier. The Anganwadi Centre workers said that the concerned department is giving them less cost of children edible articles than what is existing in the present market now. So, they face problem to maintain their Anganwadi kitchen. The Anganwadi woman workers have appealed to the concerned higher authority to implement little renovation in the kitchen bill to create a proportional balance between departmental provision and market value.
