Agartala, 28th of April, 2024 : With the initiative of Agartala Press Club ‘Annual General Conference’ has been organized at Agartala Press Club on Sunday (28th April, 2024). In the presence of many prominent journalists, President of Agartala Press Club Jayanta Bhattacharjee inaugurated the Conference by lighting the lamp.
Secretary of Agartala Press Club Ramakanta Dey presented the income and expenditure account in the conference today. Sixteen senior and new journalists discussed this editorial report and income & expenses. Senior journalist Srota Ranjan Khisa started the discussion.
Moreover, Eminent journalist Chitra Roy, Eminent Journalists Shekhar Dutta, Samir Pal, Sanjib Deb, Samir Dhar along with prominent journalists Uttam Chakraborty, Suprabhat Debnath, Debashish Majumdar, Subhash Das, Sutpa Guha, Meghdhan Deb, Chandrima Sarkar and Samir Debbarma discussed the resourceful reports. Associate Members Parijat Dutta and Harihar Debnath and many other journalists gave valuable suggestions as well as fully supported the editorial report. President of Agartala Press Club Jayanta Bhattacharjee thanked all the members for their cooperation in running the club in the last one year.
In the Annual General Conference, respects were paid to the memory of late founder members Gautam Das, Paritosh Biswas, Senior members Dulal Chakraborty, Partha Sengupta, Debasish Barua, young journalist Konad Modak and two associate members Kalyan Gupta and Sushanta Debbarma. All the members present stood and observed two minutes of silence to pay their respects to the memory.
