Annual Training Camp For NCC Cadets In Tripura, Vibrant Village Program.

Agartala, Tripura, 27th of October, 2025 : The Vibrant Village Program was successfully organized at West Fattikchhera Village, Mohanpur, West Tripura on 27th October 2025 by the ICFAI University NCC Cadets, under the guidance of Lt. Suman Suman Shukla Das (ANO) and the supervision of the 13 Tripura Battalion NCC. The objective of the event was to promote rural development, agricultural awareness, environmental conservation, and community participation under the Vibrant Villages Initiative.

The program began at 10:00 AM with a Guard of Honour presented by the ICFAI University NCC Cadets to the Commanding Officer of 13th Tripura Battalion NCC, Colonel C. Rajshekhar, who attended as the Chief Guest.

The event was graced by several distinguished dignitaries, including: Colonel C. Rajshekhar, Commanding Officer, 13th Tripura Battalion NCC, Shri Sajal Debnath, SDM, Mohanpur (Sub-Division), Smt. Rup Sarkar, Gram Pradhan, Fattikchhera, Smt. Sukla Deb, Panchayat Secretary, West Fattikchhera, Captain Samir Kumar Diabag, Shri Tutan Barmana, Panchayat Member, Shri Tapan Sarkar, Panchayat Member, Ex-Serviceman Shri Sukumar Shil (CRPF).

Following the Guard of Honour, the event commenced with an opening song performed by the NCC cadets, followed by a felicitation ceremony to honour the dignitaries and guests.

The Chief Guest, Colonel C. Rajshekhar, delivered an inspiring address emphasizing the importance of rural upliftment, environmental awareness, and the active participation of youth in building self-reliant villages. His speech was followed by an address from SDM Shri Sajal Debnath, who appreciated the discipline and initiative of the NCC cadets, and Lt. Suman Suman Shukla Das, who expressed gratitude for the support extended by local authorities and the community.

As part of the program, several community-oriented activities were conducted:

1. Tree Plantation Drive:

NCC cadets, along with local villagers, planted saplings around the village premises to promote environmental sustainability and awareness about afforestation.

2. Drawing Competition:

A drawing competition was organized for local school children on the themes “Clean Village, Green Village” and “My Dream Village.” The event encouraged creativity and social awareness among young participants.

3. Health camp:

 An awareness session on health, cleanliness, and sanitation practices. Posters and live demonstrations were used to educate villagers about personal hygiene and disease prevention.

4. Interaction with Ex-Servicemen:

Ex-Serviceman Shri Sukumar Shil (CRPF) shared his valuable experiences and motivated the youth to serve the nation with courage, discipline, and dedication.

5. Drug-Free Awareness Speech:

Dr. Samir Kumar Diabag delivered an impactful speech on the ill effects of drug abuse and encouraged both youth and villagers to adopt a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. His motivational address inspired the community to work together towards a clean, safe, and drug-free society.

The cultural segment of the event featured a group song by NCC cadets and a group dance by local villagers, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the region.

Later, Captain Samir Kumar Diabag addressed the gathering once more, motivating cadets to continue their service with sincerity and discipline. The Gram Pradhan, Panchayat Members, and Panchayat Secretary appreciated the NCC unit’s efforts and expressed their willingness to collaborate in future developmental initiatives.

The program concluded at 12:00 PM with a Vote of Thanks, expressing heartfelt gratitude to all dignitaries, officers, villagers, and cadets for their active participation and support. The event ended with a collective message of unity, discipline, and dedication toward achieving the vision of Vibrant Villages across the nation.
