Another Stabbing Incident In Dharmanagar, Man Seriously Injured.

Dharmanagar, Tripura, 31st of October, 2026 :  Panic has spread across Dharmanagar subdivision in North Tripura following another alleged stabbing incident. A young man has been accused of attacking a man with a knife near Haflong Market. The victim, Sribas Debnath, a resident of East Haflong, sustained serious injuries and was admitted to Dharmanagar District Hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.According to local sources, the incident took place at around 6 p.m. on Thursday (29th October, 2026), when Sribas Debnath was returning home from Haflong Market.

He was allegedly attacked in an area adjacent to the market. Reports suggest that a young man was standing by the roadside with his motorcycle at the time. The youth allegedly began hurling abuses at Debnath without warning. When Debnath asked him the reason for the abuse, an argument reportedly broke out between the two.The situation allegedly escalated when the accused kicked Debnath, causing him to fall onto the road. Before Debnath could react, the young man reportedly took out a knife from his motorcycle and attacked him. The assault left Debnath with multiple injuries to his head.Despite his injuries,

Debnath somehow managed to reach home. Subsequently, his family members and local residents rushed him to Dharmanagar District Hospital for treatment. The Dharmanagar Police Station was also informed about the incident.Meanwhile, the latest stabbing incident near Haflong Market has sparked fear among local residents. With similar incidents reportedly occurring one after another, people have expressed concern over the law and order situation and the safety of the area.Dharmanagar police have already launched an investigation into the incident.
