Agartala, Tripura, 31st of August, 2024 : On 31st August, on specific input, at about 1410 hrs BSF troops apprehended 03 BD nationals, 01 male, 01 female and 01girl child, from the area of Border Out Post Rangichera while they were negotiating the border fence.
During on the spot enquiry they revealed that 02 of their associates had already crossed the border fence and moved towards village Bagicherra.
Thereafter an operation along with state police was launched in village Bagicherra in which 02 more BD nationals and 01 tout were apprehended.
All the apprehended BD nationals are resident of Molvibazar, Sylhet in Bangladesh and belong to the same family.It was also revealed that the tout, who is working as a carpenter in halhalli since long is also a Bangladeshi national and belongs to Hingjiya chai bagan,Molvibazar, Sylhet.
Further investigation is going on. In recent time BSF has not only intensified the operations against the infiltrators but also strengthen the anti infiltration apparatus to prevent the infiltartion into Indian territory.
