Agartala, 18th of July, 2024 : On 17th July 2024, based on specific information a special operation was launched in which BSF apprehended one BD national (male) near the Border Fence. Name of the Bangladeshi national is Amir Haladar, Aged 29 years and resident of Distt-Madaripur in Bangladesh. Interrogation of the apprehended BD national is in progress.
In another joint operation with sister agency, in the intervening night of 17th and 18th July, one Indian tout Ismail Hossain was arrested from Rajnagar (South Tripura).
Arrested tout was actively involved in human trafficking and infiltration of Bangladeshi and Rohingya into India. He was also involved in providing shelter and logistics. He is being questioned by BSF
BSF has stepped up its drive against infiltrators and touts to break the nexus in the border state of Tripura.
