Agartala, Tripura, 16th of July 2026 : The Opening Address Ceremony of the Army Attachment Camp – 2026 for 77 NCC cadets , 1 ANO ,1 CTO ,2 JCO and 3 NCO of 13th Tripura Battalion NCC was conducted at 1 Bihar (Batalik), Salbagan Military Station, Agartala.

The programme was graced by Colonel N. S. Bhat, Commanding Officer, 13th Tripura Battalion NCC, as the Chief Guest. He was accompanied by Lieutenant Manoj Rawal, Second-in-Command (2IC), 1 Bihar (Batalik), along with other Army officers.
During his inspiring address, Colonel N. S. Bhat motivated the cadets to make the best use of the Army Attachment Camp by maintaining discipline, dedication, and a positive attitude throughout the training. He emphasized that the camp provides a unique opportunity to experience military life firsthand, develop leadership qualities, strengthen teamwork, and build self-confidence. He further encouraged the cadets to uphold the NCC motto, “Unity and Discipline,” and always strive to serve the nation with honour, commitment, and pride.

The Army Attachment Camp, being conducted from 15 July to 25 July 2026, aims to provide practical military exposure through structured training, interaction with Army personnel, weapon familiarisation, physical training, drill, and leadership-oriented activities.
The day began with an energetic Physical Training (PT) session, where the cadets enthusiastically participated in fitness exercises under the guidance of Army instructors. This was followed by the official Opening Address Ceremony, marking the formal commencement of the camp.

The cadets then attended an informative Weapon Familiarisation Session, during which Army instructors demonstrated various weapons, including rifles and pistols, while explaining their features, basic functioning, safety precautions, and operational importance. The session provided the cadets with valuable insight into military equipment and its practical use.
In the evening, the cadets took part in the Games Period, participating in friendly matches of Volleyball and Basketball. The sporting activities promoted teamwork, physical fitness, discipline, and esprit de corps among the cadets.

The opening day concluded on a highly motivating note, setting the tone for an enriching and memorable Army Attachment Camp experience for all participating NCC cadets.
